I live in Seattle. These are things that catch my attention, pique my interest and/or make me want to pass notes in class like a 7th grader
The garden is finally in full spring bloom. Miss Rumphius project spring edition: complete!
My Miss Rumphius project is coming right along. The grape hyacinth are blooming in the front yard as the daffodils begin their decline.
Very exciting news this week, a red tulip. The first one always looks extraordinarily brave, letting her colors show without a buddy in sight.
Inspired by one of my favorite books when I was young, Miss Rumphius, I planted a whole bunch of bulbs in my yard and in the community garden. At long last, they are finally starting to come up.
I love bulbs. They are so hopeful. You plant them when everything around is dying off and going dormant and just when we think you can’t take one more day of winter, surprise, here come the flowers.
